Mayfield Falls

When we asked a local Jamaican what is the best thing to do off the resort grounds, he suggested Mayfield Falls. This is a wonder- eco friendly activity that is not crowded with tourists. Along the way, have your driver stop at a shop owned by Danette and Tony to get a refreshing coconut milk and some of Danette's homemade coconut cookies. They are wonderful and so is she.

When you get to the falls, Tony is a wonderful guide, caring and well informed. Remember, these guides work for only tip money so do right by him.

Enjoy a wonderful day away from the hustle and bustle of the coast and meet some locals on their grounds.
